Hemp is the future

Discover why industrial hemp is revolutionizing sustainable agriculture and Tribal communities

Bioremediation

Hemp’s deep root systems and fast growth allow the plant to draw heavy metals out of the ground at a higher rate than most other plants. Studies show that hemp is a plant ally capable of restoring the health of native lands and beyond.

Building

Hempcrete, made from hemp, is a sustainable alternative to concrete. Its production is empowering Tribal communities to come together in new and exciting ways to re-establish healthy homes for their families.

Textiles

Hemp is a highly versatile textile and a superior alternative to cotton as well as synthetic fibers. Its environmental and economic benefits point to a re-establishment of a native arts and sovereignty.

Hemp 101

Hemp plants are defined as any cannabis plant with 0.3 percent or less THC. Even a plant with 0.4 percent THC would be classified as a marijuana plant, in spite of the fact that 0.4 percent isn’t going to have a noticeable psychoactive effect. Both varieties have great value.
